Implant Description
Dolphin dental implants are characterized by a single cylindrical thread along the implant body.
The dental implant body itself has three cones and variable thread design:
- The implant body has a cylindrical contour, with the thread contour differing from the external implant contour.
- The neck thread is comprised of two beginnings which create a cone shape that broadens in correlation to the diameter size.
- The neck edge has a variable angle, again in accordance with the implant diameter.
- The edge of the implant apex is rounded.
These special design features facilitate ease of insertion, optimized treatment as well as maximum functionality and comfort.
Thread Shape
Immediate stability and ease of placement are an important factor in the successful installation of an implant. Our thread design is central to this.
- The thread broadens out as it travels from the apical edge towards the neck of the dental implant. It has a thread pitch 1.2mm (a single beginning).
- The implant neck thread starts from two places and has a thread pitch of up to 0.6mm (0.3mm per a thread).
- The edge of the implant apex is rounded to maximize placement and comfort.
Internal Interface
- The internal hexagon is 2.43mm deep and formed with an internal thread of 2.2mm for fixing the abutment and superstructure members 1–72".
Implant Treatments
- The length of the implant surface is treated by injecting wet aluminum oxide and by etching in hydroflouric and sulfuric acids followed by neutralizer. After treatment, the remains of the materials used are flushed out and the surface is then cleaned.
- Packing takes place in a clean 10,000 class room.
- Sterilization is via pasteurization using γ-rays.

Bone Compression during Installation
- Horizontal Compression: The smart design specification of our Dolphin Implants minimizes the lowering of the bone. The difference in the size of the dental implant body and the external threading, as well as the differing dimensions of the apical area and the neck preserves the interval between the implant and the bone throughout the installation procedure and pushes the bone in a horizontal plane.
- Vertical Compression: The variable thickness of the thread along the length of the dental implant ensures that our Dolphin implants are self-directing and cause vertical (upright) compression.
Sinus Lifts and Closed Sinuses
- Micro rings in the neck of the implant improve primary stabilization. This is of particular benefit in the case of sinus lifts whenever the bone is thin and most of the stabilization load is applied to the implant.
- The rounded apex reduces the risk of torn membranes during the installation process on patients with closed sinuses.
Features of the implant neck and internal interface
- The structure of the neck implant is designed to reduce the gap between the implant and the bone. Our enhanced design ensures that Dolphin implants are self condensing.
- The internal interface enables the connection of the superstructure at an angle suitable for prosthetic rehabilitation and prevents rotation of superstructure members.
Osseointegration
Top Implants products enhance and expedite osseointegration in the following ways:
- The implant's specially designed surface generates a roughness that improves the contact between the implant and the bone, encouraging enhanced osseointegration.
- The etching with acids and the flushing to remove contaminated substances generates an oxidation layer.
- Sterilization via pasteurization decontaminates the product, preventing infection and encouraging the acceptance of the implant by the surrounding bone structure.
Installation of Dolphin Implants
Dolphin implants are specially designed for treatment involving immediate placement and immediate loading.
Dense Alveolar Bone
- Installation of Dolphin dental implants is suitable for those with low alveolar bones where a bocal undercut and sinus lift is required.
Dense Cortical Bone
- Dolphin implants are suitable for patients with thin bone where a sinus lift is required and immediate load is applied.
Installation following Tooth Extraction
- The installation of dental implants immediately following a tooth extraction is possible due to the anatomic configuration of the implant abutment.
